In December of 2008, Dr. Paul Krause took a week off of work and journeyed to Davos, Switzerland, where he met the US Nordic Ski Team. While there, he was responsible for the health of both the men's and women's teams. They competed in two World Cup races, one long-distance and one sprint.
Dr. Krause ate meals with the athletes and stayed at their hotel. He also socialized with the Swiss Team coach and the Norwegian wax technician, who are friends from the University of Vermont, where he went to medical school. Dr Krause got to ski everyday that he was there and was lucky enough to meet a ski legend: Bjorn Daehlie!
Dr. Krause is looking forward to another trip in 2009.
