USDA changes the long-standing "food pyramid"

The USDA recently announced that it has changed the long-standing "food pyramid" to a more visually practical food plate.  It now encorporates fruits and veggies as 1/2 of the plate and instead of listing specific meats and shows protein as a portion.  This is a great improvement in the education of Americans with regards to diet and food portions.  Click the link below to view the new "choose my plate" guide.
