Carol Lindsay, RN, MSN, FNP

Carol has been involved in medicine since 1975 when she took a class to become a Certified Nurses Aide.  From there she attended California State University in 1977 and graduated with a Bachelor in Science Degree in Nursing in 1979.  She worked as an Emergency Department Nurse at Enloe Memorial Hospital for four years at which time she also worked on an ambulance as a Mobile Intensive Care Nurse and a Flight Nurse on Enloe’s Emergency Helicopter Service.

Carol moved to Truckee in 1986 where she worked at Tahoe Forest Hospital in the Emergency Department until she attended the University of California, Davis Nurse Practitioner Program in 1992.  She graduated in 1994 with a Family Nurse Practitioner Certification and a Masters Degree in Nursing.  Since then she has worked for Truckee Tahoe Medical Group as a Family Nurse Practitioner treating patients of all ages from newborns to geriatrics.  Her interests include women’s health of all ages, including menopause.  As an avid cyclist, runner and cross country skier, she also enjoys encouraging and educating patients on diet and exercise throughout life.

Carol has been involved in the local community since moving to Truckee including participation in bicycle safety and establishing bike paths in the Truckee area.  She and her husband are also actively involved in the Far West Junior Ski and own and operate a local bicycle and ski shop in Truckee.
